Drift.
Friends laughing together on a car ride, on the way to somewhere good.

Free afternoon, or a long drive? Real things to do.

Drift finds real places from Apple Maps and real events from Ticketmaster, right around you or along your route. Nothing is invented, because nothing writes it but a map.

What it does

Three ways to have no plan and end up somewhere good.

Tell Drift what you like. It never guesses at a place that does not exist, because it never guesses at all: every suggestion comes straight from Apple Maps or Ticketmaster, at the moment you ask.

1
View from a car through the windshield, driving down an open highway.

Now

Places around where you are, matched to what you picked and sorted by how far you would actually have to go. Each one says plainly why it is there.

2
View from inside a car driving a scenic road, on the way somewhere.

On the way

Say where you are driving and how long you want to drive first. Drift gives you exactly three stops on the corridor, each with the real number of minutes it adds.

3
Crowd with hands raised at a live concert.

Happening

Ticketed events near a place you chose, soonest first. When there are few, the places that host them. Free means free and unknown says unknown, because Drift never fills in a price that was not there.

The price

Free. Every part of it.

Drift used to charge, because it asked an AI to invent suggestions and then paid another service to check whether the places it named were real. It asks Apple Maps now, which only returns places that exist. That costs nothing to run, so the app is free. Every feature. There is a tip jar in Settings and it unlocks nothing.

Coming from Drift 1.x? Drift is free now, all of it, and subscriptions are closed to new sign-ups. If you still have one, you can cancel it in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Everything you saved is still here, untouched.
